Born in Elizabeth, NJ, to Leslie M. and Verna Delatush Dennis, Virginia lived as a child during the Great Depression in the "Deserted Village" known as Feltville, which is now an historical area in the Watchung Reservation in Berkeley Heights, NJ. Ginnie was a graduate of Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, where she studied industrial design. A resident of Cranford since 1950, she married Dennis F. Green, and together they had a son William. Virginia's life changed when her husband passed away in 1970, after a lengthy illness which required Virginia's constant care. She went to work, becoming the court clerk for the township of Cranford, where she remained for 20 years. After retirement, Virginia, who appreciated the good work of hospice, went right back to work, becoming an administrator with the Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains. She remained there until 2005. Following in her mother's footsteps, Virginia was an artist, painting in watercolors, and acrylics. Virginia also enjoyed playing the piano, doing calligraphy, and travelling around the world with her friends. She is survived by her son: William Dennis Green and his wife Mary-Kay Cooney of Springfield, and Mary-Kay's children: Meredith and Hillary Sells, as well as many nieces and nephews.
